A few weeks ago I had an elder visit, I'd known him for 20years or so. I asked him about the generation change and he started to talk about 1975 and how people were selfish and thought of a date and run up debts etc. Trying to make it sound as if the viewpoint of the generation we had held for years was a selfish one. He left my house with a different understanding. His masters are to blame for his ignorance.

I didn't care less about God. It was because I cared about God that I left.
since i've come to the realization and conclusion that i've been living a fictional lifestyle for the last 17 years, i've also come to identify with agnosticism.. .
but one issue that's been taking it's emotional toll on me lately is the realization of the fictitious paradisiac earth.. it was the ultimate goal as a witness- the answer to everything.
even if you had questions that couldn't be answered, you were to "wait until the paradise and ask" when you got there.. .
I was more worried about death when I was an active JW. I sometimes feel now what a relief it will be. I think an off button would have been a good idea. I believe in God and a better life.

I would gradually jettison the "composite sign" and teach that it is the generation that sees the sign in Matthew 24: 30.
